The conversation can be seen here. Dennis, the host of the website, had kindly responded to my question earlier that day. Jack rudely replied that any mentally healthy gamers (which he thought did not exist) should show up at a Denny’s for a discussion on video game laws. Since I do not have access to the internet at home (I just love living in a rural area), I did not see his post and the responses until I arrived at school earlier today. I thought about it and decided, “Why not?” If nothing else, this would show him that we gamers have the courage to respond to a challenge, unlike Mr. Thompson, who dodges questions and resorts to childish insults.

I know from personal experience that there are many fine gaming conventions held throughout the year, but I have seen how he is about details of responses (see his Modest Proposal, for example). We could even have this Gamer’s Brunch during one of these conventions to make attending it more convenient for people who live further away. I’m sure no one would say “No” to getting together for breakfast, especially during a convention. If Denny’s allows it, I would have a nice booth reserved for Mr. Thompson, plus I would pay for his meal since he would be a guest. The time and location for this event will be decided for anyone involved, but I suggest having it in Indianapolis the weekend of GenCon to keep with his response about Indiana.

If anyone is interested, please post here and we can figure out how exactly we want to do this.
